Introduction of the Pastors

Let me introduce ourselves and impart a little of God's calling upon our lives:

I am Pastor Jim Ingram and I grew up in Wichita, Kansas before moving to Iowa in 1959 my family could be near my grandparents and where I met Mary Ann in the Winterset High School. We both graduated from Winterset, Iowa, and we were married in 1963. We are the proud parents of four grown children and nine wonderful grandchildren, soon to be ten with the third grandson coming in July 2009.

After being married several years and three of our four children had left home by this time, God called us into full-time ministry. His call for the next phase of our lives meant leaving Winterset to attend Life Bible College East in Christiansburg, Va. It was a huge step of faith to uproot our daughter, the youngest of our children, move across the country, and return to school. (But we have found it is always worth it to obey God's call.)

Shortly after enrolling at L.I.F.E., we felt God calling us to Ames. Seven years later, after we both graduated, we still knew God was telling us to begin a work in Ames, which meant returning to Iowa to obey God once more. It has been another huge step of faith to start a Foursquare church in a community of so many churches, but we both know God's calling and we do not want to miss His leading. It has been a struggle and we are still a very small congregation at this time, but we know God has great plans for Ames. We are looking for God to do great and mighty things for the Kingdom in these last days and we both want to be a part of His marvelous plan. We hope you will come and visit our services and if you feel you would like to be used to bring glory to God by becoming a part of our church then let's talk! Regardless what church you go to we must all pray for the Lord to have His will in Ames.
